Instructions for Skills Assessment
  • This assessment is designed to evaluate basic skills in Catia V5 software.
  • The test has a total time limit of 45 minutes.
  • There are two sections, Section A and Section B.
  • Section A will be a set of multiple-choice based questions, with only one correct answer.
  • Section B will require the user to use CATIA V5 software to create a basic 3D model.
  • Please fill in multiple choice answers by clicking the tick box.
  • It is very important to fill in the time taken to complete the test.

Proficiency Level

Once the assessment has been completed, you will be graded 1 of 3 proficiency levels relevant to the basic skills used in CATIA V5. Each level is described below:

Basic - You possess some knowledge of the use of CATIA V5 and its terminology and functions. You may be able to carry out straightforward relevant tasks under supervision.

Capable - You possess the knowledge and experience to carry out standard relevant tasks consistently without supervision. You are likely to need to seek out advice before carrying out more complex or non-standard tasks in CATIA V5.

Accomplished - You possess the knowledge and experience to carry out complex or non-standard tasks confidently and consistently. You are aware of alternative approaches and can advise others on the use of CATIA V5.
